WHAT IS YOGA SCULPT ?
A yoga sculpt class combines traditional yoga postures with strength training, using hand weights, (0.5 -1.00kg) offering something different than many yoga classes. The muscles targeted in sculpt classes are not necessarily strengthened in a yoga class but are very necessary to your practise. The idea is to strengthen, lengthen and sculpt muscles whilst still focusing on alignment, mindfulness, and breath awareness. That means connecting each movement with intentional breath as you move.Perfect for those who enjoy yoga as a physical workout and want to add a little more “Oomph!” but best for those who are already at an Intermediate level , as adding resistance to yoga poses that challenge your balance and core strength may be difficult for beginners.
